XUK Activity Children's Kit List

Below is a list of suggested items that we feel all campers should bring to camp.

Camp is full of many fun and action packed activities. Sometimes we can get a bit messy. Please only pack clearly labelled clothes and accessories which you are happy to get dirty.

We strongly advise against bringing valuable items that cannot be replaced if they are lost or stolen.

Clothing

  • Waterproof coat.
  • Trainers (comfortable, strong and worn-in) for activities and walking. Suitable shoes are essential for the children's safety and comfort.
  • Plenty of underwear and socks.
  • Swimming costume.
  • Night wear. (Extra warm if sleeping in T-Bells)
  • Jumpers.
  • Skirts/dresses.
  • T-shirts (long sleeves are required for some activities).
  • Jeans/leisure trousers/Tracksuit (long trousers are required for some activities).
  • Shorts.
  • Rucksack.
  • If sleeping in a T-bell - warm night clothes & ensure sleeping bag is a warm one.
  • Disco clothes for the weekly disco.

Other items

  • EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) for EU citizens only.
  • Sleeping bag or duvet (those who do not bring a sleeping bag/duvet will be able to buy one (subject to availability) on their first day with us. We are unable to lend any out). Those sleeping in T-Bells should have warm bed clothes / sleeping bags
  • A watch.
  • Named water bottle.
  • Torch and spare batteries.
  • Wallet or purse.
  • Named net laundry bag.
  • Large towel (for swimming), bath towel and face towel
  • Toiletries: hair brush, flannel, soap, toothbrush and paste and shampoo.

Lost property

It is vital all belongings are clearly labelled and looked after by your child. If it is too valuable to lose please do not bring it!

If any items are lost please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Any unclaimed items will go to charity on 1st September.
