We had a fantastic second summer in beautiful Monmouth at XUK Excel! We welcomed back lots of returning campers and some new faces too. It was a brilliant five weeks filled with fun activities, new experience, memories created and friendships made!
After the summer comes to an end, we ask families to feedback about their experience in our post camp questionnaire, to make next year even better! We have received such lovely feedback this year and are very excited to share it with you...
XUK Excel is our specialist summer camp, allowing children and teens to specialise each morning in one of our electives. This year, we had Water & Forest Adventure, Creative Arts, Media and Sport on offer.
We received amazing feedback on all of our electives!
Our staff, selection of activities and facilities were rated highly within all electives – one parent particularly commented on our Media elective. “Good camera skills learned and she now appreciates how difficult a camera is to work.”
Each afternoon, our campers pick from a wide selection of activities, which includes Water Zorbing, Lacrosse, Cookery, Yoga and Hammer & Nail Art. There is always something for everyone on offer! We would like to say a huge well done to our team as our campers and their families spoke highly of the activities on offer. One parent commented “you have clear, organised schedules.”
Our wonderful staff team is made up of Specialist Activity Leaders, Dorm & Activity Leaders, English Teachers and our Office Team. Without them, XUK Excel would not be the cosy, fun and safe summer camp that it is!

96% of parents rated our staff as good or excellent and one family said “the staff are all very friendly, who clearly care about the children!”
Each week, we went on a trip to either Bristol or Bath. We had the opportunity to soak up the history, visit the markets and do a spot of shopping.
91% of parents rated our trips as good or excellent! We will be announcing a third trip destination soon...
We found from our feedback that 50% of our campers have attended other summer camps before.
92% of parents stated that XUK Excel is better than any other summer camp their child has attended in the past! As well as this, 98% of parents would recommend XUK Excel summer camp to a friend.
