Halloween at Camp this October Half-Term

Halloween at Camp this October Half-Term

We had a brilliant time at camp this October Half-Term! We had a spooktacular drama performance, scarily brilliant artwork in the art group, frightfully fantastic ball skills in the sports group and a hair-raising performance of ‘Pumpkin, pumpkin’ by the Apprentices!

Here’s a quick run-down for you of what we were up to last week…

Apprentices

The Apprentices had an extremely busy week! With a timetable jam-packed full of parachute games, stretch and grow, pumpkin art, music time, nature walks, song time, show practice, clay art, ball games and musical statues, it’s almost a surprise that they had time to go home each evening!

Drama

The Drama Group took up the Halloween theme this half-term with the spooky ‘Don’t look in the lake!’ as their play of choice. The play was set, appropriately, in a haunted holiday camp! We had brilliant star performances from our actors and actresses, and we particularly enjoyed their fantastic zombie dance to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.

Art

The Art Group had a timetable last week featuring marbling inks, spooky spiders, googley-eyed creatures, clay snowmen, origami, Narnia scenes and multi-coloured seahorses! They also helped to create brilliant scenery for the drama performance.

Sports

We’re not sure if there is a sport in the world that the sports group didn’t do last week! From football to dodgeball, javelin to tag rugby and hockey to basketball, the sports group did it all! They even managed to get outside for a bit of outdoor sport on the warmer days!

We look forward to seeing you again at February Half-Term for more non-stop fun and games at Cross Keys Day Camp!
