Cooking at Camp – Malteser Slice

Becki's delicious malteser slice is very easy to make and a great way to get the children involved. Maybe this will become an XUK camp favourite this summer.

You will need:

  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp. golden syrup
  • 125g digestive biscuits
  • 135g bag of maltesers

Step One - Put the digestive biscuits and 35g of the maltesers in a freezer bag and crush them into fine crumbs using a rolling pin

Step Three - Put the milk chocolate, butter and golden syrup into a bowl. Melt over a pan of simmering water making sure there are no lumps in it

Step Four - Once the chocolate has melted, pour the biscuit crumbs into the bowl. Make sure that the crumbs are completely covered

Step Five - Put the remaining maltesers into the mixture as well stirring to make sure that everything is coated

Step Six - Place the mixture into the tin, cover with cling film or tin foil and then place in the fridge for 1-2 hours

Step Seven - Remove from the fridge and cut into chunks

Just seven easy steps to make a delicious treat! Enjoy!
