Why nurses and health professionals choose camp work
Health professionals often find summer camp roles particularly fulfilling. A nurses summer job at camp combines specific responsibility with pastoral care: medication administration, routine first aid, safeguarding oversight and wellbeing checks. It’s a role that blends practical nursing skills with community care and relationship building.
If you are seeking part time work for nurses residential health roles include on-site accommodation and an immersive team environment. You can get involved in the day to day of camp life as much as you want!

Residential vs day camp — which suits you?
Residential summer jobs: You live on site, you share evenings with campers and staff, and you’ll be part of a 24/7 team. These roles are intense but hugely rewarding — great for people looking to build leadership, pastoral care and activity delivery experience.
Day camp roles (including London day camps): You work during the day and return home in the evenings. Day roles are ideal for local candidates, teachers, or anyone wanting a regular daytime schedule while still working with children. You may also want your own space which you get over evenings and weekends!
