On the first day of English classes, the students were delighted to see the sun make its first appearance of the week. Long may that continue!
After breakfast the classes began, with students from all over the world working, learning and having fun together. The three hours of teaching are separated into two classes, so the students can experience different teaching methods and ideas.
There was one lovely surprise for birthday-boy Federico from Madrid, as he was treated to a camp-wide chorus of “happy birthday” and a delicious chocolate cake he could share with his fellow dorm-mates. In addition, Nurse Lindsey had prepared crispy cakes for the whole camp.
During the afternoon, an eclectic selection of activities included film-making with Giles, basketball and other mixed sports, arts and drama. The day was rounded off with ‘wide games’, an exciting creation involving team work, mystery and problem solving around the grounds.
